The Washington Wizards will host the Orlando Magic in an early week conference matchup. The Wizards snapped a five game losing streak by beating down Brooklyn 114-77 on Saturday night. The Magic meanwhile lost a heartbreaker to Chicago last night 98-97 at home. The Magic blew a six point lead in the final 33 seconds of the game. Neither of these teams is playing winning basketball in general of late but the Wizards are the better team and have the strong advantage so this sets up as blowout for the home side.
Here are my keys to game:
Tough scheduling spot for Magic- The Magic have to travel the night after a devastating home loss to D.C. to take on a talented Wizards squad. Orlando is just 10-20 on the road season and having to get a win in a back-to-back spot is too tough of task.
Wizards' dominance over Magic- Washington is 5-0 and 3-1-1 ATS against the Magic in D.C. the last three seasons. Washington has looked vulnerable during a losing stretch but are feeling a lot better about itself after holding the Nets to just 33.6 percent shooting from the field. This is bad news for Orlando.
X-Factor- John Wall is the best player on either team in this series. He is averaging 22.0 points and 11.0 assists in the 2014-15 season series to put the Wizards on the brink of another sweep of the Magic this season.
Selection: This is a play on the Washington Wizards.(10*)
