(NCAAB) Seton Hall vs. Providence,
Point Spread: -7.50 | -117.00 Providence (Home)
Result: Loss
Point Spread: -7.50 | -117.00 Providence (Home)
Result: Loss
The Providence Friars host Big East rivals Seton Hall on Saturday, and the Friars are looking to bounce back from consecutive losses. Those defeats came at the hands of Xavier in Cincinnati, and Villanova at home. Tonight's opponent will likely not pose as much of a threat, as the Pirates have lost six of their last eight overall.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Home Cookin' - The Friars boast a home record of 11-3, while the Pirates have lost five of eight on the road. Backing Providence at home has cashed a winning ticket in seven of the last nine.
2. Previous History - Providence has won four of it's last five meetings with Seton Hall, covering the spread in all four of those victories. Seton Hall has only covered the points twice in it's last eight games overall.
3. X-Factor - Pirates coach Kevin Willard did not make his players available to the media after Tuesday's loss to Georgetown, because of comments made following Saturday's loss to Marquette. Some players had made specific comments about teammates being selfish, indicating a potential rift in the dressing room.
Selection: This is a play on the Providence Friars (10*)
