The Coach's NHL ICE BREAKER
(NHL) Tampa Bay vs. Anaheim,
Money Line: -122.00 Anaheim (Home)
Result: Loss
Money Line: -122.00 Anaheim (Home)
Result: Loss
The Anaheim Ducks are slumping, coming into tonight's home game versus Tampa as losers of four of their last five. Three of those losses came on the road though, at the end of a five game East Coast swing. They lost their first game back home by a score of 5-3 to the Caps, but they catch Tampa at a good time tonight. The Bolts have split the first two games of this road trip with a win at San Jose, and a loss to the Kings.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Fatigue - Not only is this the third game of a grueling road trip out West, it's also Tampa's third game in four nights. They won't find it easy in Anaheim tonight, as the Ducks are sure to bring a strong effort as they look to get back on track.
2. Home Cookin' - The Ducks boast a record of 19-7-3 at home this season, and they've won three straight home meetings with the Lightning. Tampa has lost six of it's last eight on the road.
3. X-Factor - Lighting goaltender Ben Bishop had the night off on Monday, but he should be back in action tonight. He's allowed 15 goals while losing three of his last five starts, and he got the hook in two of those games.
Selection: This is a play on the Anaheim Ducks
