The Coach's TEN STAR NHL Total DOMINATION
(NHL) Arizona vs. New Jersey,
Total: 5.00 | 103.00 Over
Result: Win
Total: 5.00 | 103.00 Over
Result: Win
The New Jersey Devils and the Arizona Coyotes are not going to the playoffs this season, and tonight's game at the Prudential Center might be a real snoozer. These two teams are equally futile when it comes to scoring, both averaging 2.2 goals per game, tied for 27th overall in the league. Needless to say, I don't expect to see a lot of goal here in New Jersey tonight.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Previous History - Seven of the last 10 meetings between these two teams have failed to go over five goals. The Devils have been a good bet to go under all year long, and only twice in their last 10 have they seen the total go over the number.
2. Goaltending - He's won three of his last five appearances, allowing just nine goals in those games. Four of those five games went under the total. He's owned the Coyotes, going 3-1-1 with a 0.99 GAA in five starts versus Arizona.
3. X-Factor - The Devils had Sunday off after winning at home by a score of 3-1 win over Carolina on Saturday. They've seen the total go under in eight of their last 10 when playing on one day's rest.
Selection: This is a play on the Coyotes@Devils to go UNDER the total(10*)
