The top two teams in the Pacific Division will square off tonight as the Anaheim Ducks are visiting the Vancouver Canucks. The visitors had a four game winning streak snapped Friday as they lost 5-2 to Pittsburgh home at the Duck Pond. I like their chances of bouncing back with a win here though against a Nucks team that has won only two of its last five games.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Previous History - The Ducks are 3-1 in a season series that will be concluded tonight and they've won nine of the last 10 meetings overall. As strong as the Nucks are on home ice, that usually counts for nothing when the Ducks are in town and the visitors have taken 18 of the last 24 meetings in Vancouver, including two this season.
2. Road Warriors - The Ducks are an impressive 20-8-4 away from home for the season and have claimed five straight contests outside of the Duck Pond outscoring opponents 17-7 over that stretch.
3. X-Factor - Corey Perry is leading the Ducks with his 28 goals and lit the lamp once against the Pens Friday to make it four goals in his last five games.
Selection: This is a play on the Anaheim Ducks (8*)
