The Winnipeg Jets will make the second stop of a four game road trip as they visit St. Louis to take on the Blues tonight. They defeated the Predators in Nashville Saturday, but could be in for a tougher battle here. St. Louis is coming off a win at Toronto Saturday, and returns home looking to extend it's dominance over the Jets in recent meetings.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Offensive Woes For Winnipeg - The visitors could to be without two of their top four point producers for the season as both Dustin Byfuglien and Bryan Little are likely to miss the game. That is particularly concerning as the Blues have confirmed they will go with their star goalie Brian Elliot to tend the net. He has conceded only six goals over his last five outings and are a dominant 7-2-2 lifetime against the Jets.
2. Previous Meetings - The Blues have already defeated the Jets twice at Winnipeg this season, winning 4-2 on Nov 23 and 2-1 on Feb 26. They're now 6-0 over the last six in the series and have been dominant on home ice as well winning four straight match-ups at Scottrade Center.
3. X-Factor - Alexander Steen is off a three assists performance against the Leafs and has 10 goals and 28 points in 23 games against the Jets over his career.
Selection: This is a play on the St. Louis Blues (8*)
