Result: Loss
The Raptors had lost nine of 10 prior to a 102-92 home win over Miami on Friday, but the bulk of those losses came on the road. They also saw themselves playing several of the top teams in the Western Conference, losing at San Antonio, Houston, Dallas and Oklahoma City, and at home to Golden State. The Schedule is a little more favorable moving forward, as they play at home in six of their next nine games. I like Toronto at home tonight against a banged up Portland team.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Home Cookin' - The Blazers are just above .500 on the road (15-14), and they lost at Minnesota in their most recent game away from home. The Raptors have won exactly twice as many as they've lost in Toronto, with a record of 22-11.
2. Injuries - The Blazers lost Wesley Mathews for the rest of the season as he suffered a torn Achilles, and that's forced Arron Afflalo to fill a bigger role. He's not known for his defense, and that's likely to hurt Portland moving forward.
3. X-Factor - The Trail Blazers are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 vs. Eastern Conference.
Selection: This is a play on the Toronto Raptors(*10)
