The Atlanta Hawks will host the Phoenix Suns tonight in a game between two teams at the opposite ends of the standings. The Hawks are looking to set a franchise wins record, while Phoenix is looking to make it back-to-back wins after they snapped a five game losing streak with a win over Utah. I think we might see a slow paced game tonight with all the injuries to both clubs.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Previous History - The Suns have enjoyed success in Atlanta in the past, covering the spread in five of their last six visits. They are also 9-3 ATS in the last 12 meetings overall in this series. Five of the last seven meetings in Atlanta have failed to reach the total.
2. Injuries - Hawks leading scorer Paul Millsap will not play tonight after he suffered a shoulder injury against the Nets on Wednesday. The Hawks may also choose to rest starters with home court advantage already locked up in the playoffs.
3. X-Factor - The Suns have seen the total go under in 12 of their last 16 versus teams with a winning percentage of .600 or better.
Selection: This is a play on the Suns@Hawks to go UNDER the total (8*)
