Money Line: -133.00 San Diego (Home)
Result: Win
The Arizona Diamondbacks and the San Diego Padres will play the rubber match at Petco park to decide who wins this ealry divisional season series. The Padres beat up on the D-Backs 5-1 yesterday and it appears will they will have the edge in the series finale at as well.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Starting Pitching: The visitors will send Chris Anderson to the hill who did not look very good in his first outing of the year. The righty allowed three earned runs on five hits with one home run and three walks, lasting only five innings due to a rapid pitch count. He finished with a 4.20 ERA in three starts against San Diego last but faces a different animal this year with all the offseason upgrades. The home side will counter with a seemingly revamped Brandon Morrow as their starting pitcher. He gave up just four hits and struck out seven batters through seven innings but earned a no-decision against the Giants last Friday. He should get more luck in this game.
2. San Diego's offensive output- This certainly isn't the same Padres team that struggled to score last year. San Diego has put up 25 runs in the last four games while hitting .275 thus far in the young season. That is the fifth best batting average in the majors
3. X-Factor- San Diego is 13-9 versus Arizona the last three seasons went the game has been held at Petco Park.
Selection: This is a play on the San Diego Padres (6*)
