Result: Win
The Mariners wrap up this three game set in Texas tonight, and they send their ace to the mound looking to complete the sweep of the Rangers. Texas has dropped five of it's last six, and it won't get any easier against one of the best pitchers in baseball tonight.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Pitching - Felix Hernandez will be on the mound for the Mariners, and he's coming in hot. Hernandez (3-0, 1.61 ERA) tossed a complete game shutout against the Twins at home his last time out. He pitched once in Texas in 2014, going seven innings allowing one run on four hits and striking out nine. The Rangers counter with Wandy Rodriguez, who makes just his second start of the season.
2. Nelson Cruz - He leads the major leagues with nine home runs and 21 RBIs, and he's 4-for-11 with a home run and five RBIs lifetime versus Rodriguez.
3. X-Factor - The Rangers own the lowest team batting average in the majors, hitting just .212 so far this season.
Selection: This is a play on the Seattle Mariners.(7*)
