The Cardinals got another win over the Phillies yesterday with a 5-2 decision thanks to starting pitcher Carlos Martinez out-dueling the Phillies starter Aaron Harrang. Today they turn to a top rookie pitching prospect in Trevor Cooney in a nice match-up with one of the Phillies low end starting pitchers in David Buchanan. I like the favorite Cardinals to get another win.

1. Home Cookin'- The Cardinals improved to 7-2 this season at Busch Stadium with a win over the Phillies yesterday. The Phillies are just 2-8 on the road this season.

2. Pitcher versus Batter- Matt Carpenter had good success against David Buchanan last season, going 3 for 6. Carpenter had recorded two hits in five of six games before going 0 for 4 Wednesday. The Cardinals leadoff hitter has been one of the surest things in baseball this early season.
3. X-Factor - The Phillies starting pitcher David Buchanan is 0-4 with 7.52 ERA to start this season.
