The Coach's MLB Friday SURE SHOT
(MLB) San Francisco vs. Philadelphia,
Money Line: -131.00 San Francisco (Away)
Result: Win
Money Line: -131.00 San Francisco (Away)
Result: Win
The San Francisco Giants are in Philadelphia tonight, taking on the last place team in the NL East. The Phillies have lost eight of their last 10, and I don't like their chances against the defending World Series champs in this one.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Pitching - Tim Lincecum will be on the hill for the visitors, and he's having himself a pretty respectable season. Lincecum (5-3, 3.00 ERA) gave up four runs on eight hits over just 4.1 innings in a loss to Atlanta in his last outing. Prior to that though, he won four straight decisions. The Phillies counter with Jerome Williams, who really hasn't impressed. Williams (3-5, 5.49 ERA) was lit up for four runs on eight hits over five innings in a loss to Colorado in his last start.
2. Road Warriors - The Giants lead the majors with a road batting average of .286.
3. X-Factor - The Phillies rank dead last in the major leagues with just 171 runs scored.
Selection: This is a play on the San Francisco Giants (8*)
