The Toronto Blue Jays are on a roll, coming into tonight's game against Miami as winners of six in a row. I think it's only a matter of time before poor defense and below average pitching catches up with Toronto again. I like Miami as a dog on the runline.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Pitching - The Jays hand the ball to Mark Buehrle, who has been fortunate to get plenty of run support. Buehrle (7-4, 4.35 ERA) tossed a complete game shutout at Washington his last time out. The Marlins counter with a red hot veteran of their own, sending Dan Haren to the hill. Haren (6-2, 3.18 ERA) has allowed five runs on 10 hits over 12.2 innings while winning back-to-back games.
2. Batter versus Pitcher - The Marlins lineup his hitting .351 versus Buehrle. Ichiro has seen the most of him, and he's hitting .429 with a home run and eight RBIs in 63 at bats.
3. X-Factor - Giancarlo Stanton leads the majors in both home runs (19) and RBIs (49). He should have little trouble knocking around Buehrle.
Selection: This is a play on the Miami Marlins +1.5 (8*)
