Point Spread: 1.50 | -143.00 Baltimore (Home)

AL East rivals Baltimore and New York will meet at Camden Yards in Game 1 of a three games series Friday night. The visitors will be a favorite, but I like the Orioles who have played well at home (18-13) this season.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Pitching - Michael Pineda will be on the mound for the Yankees, and he comes in with impressive numbers. Pineda (7-2, 3.33 ERA) gave up a pair of runs on seven hits over six frames in a win at Seattle in his last start. One of his worst performances this season came against the Orioles, when he was tagged for five runs on nine hits over 6.1 innings in a 6-5 win at Camden Yards. The Orioles counter with Ubaldo Jimenez, who has been having a solid season in his own right.
2. Adam Jones - The Orioles slugger comes in batting .419 with four home runs over his last eight games.
3. X-Factor - The Orioles have won eight of their last 10 home games versus New York.
Selection: This is a play on the Baltimore Orioles +1.5 (8*)
