The Los Angeles Dodgers will wrap up this home and home series with Texas tonight, and they'll look to avoid a sweep after suffering an upset at home last night. Texas has been playing great baseball of late, but with an inexperienced pitcher taking the mound tonight, I think the Rangers are going to struggle at Chavez Ravine.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Pitching - Zack Greinke will get the nod for the Dodgers, and he's been dominant in recent outings. Greinke (5-2, 1.95 ERA) allowed a pair of runs on eight hits, striking out seven in eight innings in a 2-1 loss to San Diego in his last start. He is win-less in his last seven starts, but that's been a result of a lack of run support, rather than poor pitching. The Rangers counter with Anthony Ranaudo, who was recalled from Triple-A to make a spot start.
2. Home Cookin' - The Dodgers own one of the best home records in the majors, going 25-11 at Chavez Ravine so far. Greinke is 2-1 with a 2.08 ERA at home this year, and he was 10-2 with a 2.55 ERA in LA last season.
3. X-Factor - The Dodgers are 14-5 in Greinke's last 19 starts.
