The Coach's MLB Heavy Hitter - (Bigtime Blowout Potential)
(MLB) LA Dodgers vs. Miami,
Money Line: -187.00 LA Dodgers (Away)
Result: Win
Money Line: -187.00 LA Dodgers (Away)
Result: Win
The Miami Marlins shocked the Los Angeles Dodgers and Clayton Kershaw yesterday when they tied this series 1-1 with a 3-2 win at Dodger Stadium. We can expect the Dodgers and Zack Greinke to restore order with a win today.
Here are my keys to the game:
1 Pitching - The Dodgers will hand the ball to Zack Greinke (5-2, 1.70 ERA) who is looking for his first "W" since May 5. It has hardly been the 31 year old right-hander's fault though as he's held opponents to one run or less in all but two of his nine starts since, and he's held opponents scoreless in each of his last two starts over a total of 13 frames. The Fish will counter with 23 year old rookie Jose Urena (1-3, 4.34) who's win-less over his last two starts, showing some serious control issues by giving seven free passes with only three strikeouts.
2. Situational - The Dodgers have won 14 of Greinke's last 17 starts in a game 3 of a series and six of his last eight on the road.
3. X-Factor - The Marlins' Giancarlo Stanton will miss four to six weeks with a broken hand.
Selection: This is a play on the Los Angeles Dodgers (7*)
