The Coach's MLB Heavy Hitter - (Bigtime Blowout Potential)
(MLB) Minnesota vs. Toronto,
Money Line: -168.00 Toronto (Home)
Result: Win
Money Line: -168.00 Toronto (Home)
Result: Win
The Toronto Blue Jay have won five of their last six, and David Price lived up to all the hype in a 5-1 win in Game 1 of this series versus the Twins. Minnesota has really struggled on the road, losing eight of their last 10.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Pitching - Phil Hughes will be on the mound for the Twins, and he might be an ideal opponent for the heavy hitting Jays. Not only has Hughes struggled to keep the ball in the park in his career, he's been hit hard in previous trips to Toronto. The left-hander is 1-3 with a 5.90 ERA in his last six starts at Rogers Center. The Blue Jays will counter with Marco Estrada, who has won four of his last five home starts.
2. Batter vs. Pitcher - Jose Bautista is hitting .308 with a home run and three RBIs lifetime versus Hughes, and Edwin Encarnacion is hitting .350 with a home run and six RBIs.
3. X-Factor - The Twins are 8-21 in the last 29 meetings in Toronto.
Selection: This is a play on the Toronto Blue Jays (8*)
