The Philadelphia Eagles will open the pre-season with a home game against Indianapolis, and we might see some fireworks. Both teams have plenty of weapons, and history suggests that this game should see a lot of scoring.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Quarterbacks - Both teams are deep at the quarterback position, especially Philadelphia who will likely lean heavily on second string pivot Mark Sanchez. The Eagles have been impressed with Sanchez in training camp, and he threw for 11 TDs and just one INT in practices. The Colts Matt Hasselbeck is one of the league's best backups, with over a decade of experience starting for Seattle, even leading them to a Super Bowl.
2. Previous History - The Eagles scored an average of 33 points per game in the pre-season in 2014, and all four of their games went over the total. Philly has also gone over the total in seven of it's last nine overall.
3. X-Factor - The over is 4-0 in the last four head to head meetings.
Selection: This is a play on the Colts@Eagles to go OVER the total (10*)
