Result: Win
Point Spread: -7.00 | -105.00 Duke (Away)
Result: Win
The Duke Blue Devils will open the season on the road at Tulane on Thursday night, and they will be just a single digit favorite. The Green Wave are likely to be over-matched here in a game that is likely to be a one-sided affair.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Previous History - Duke defeated Tulane by a score of 47-13 last season, and finished the year with a 9-3 record. Tulane only won three games all of last season, and eight of their nine losses came in games decided by at least seven points.
2. Blue Devils Running Game - Duke ran for 256 yards and four TDs in the win over Tulane last season, and you can expect more of the same here in this game. The Blue Devils averaged over 180 yards rushing per game in 2014, but we expect them to go well beyond that number against an inferior opponent in Week 1.
3. X-Factor - Tulane quarterback Tanner Lee completed 14-of-35 passes for 160 yards and three interceptions in the loss to Duke last year.
Selection: This is a play on the Duke Blue Devils (8*)
