The Denver Broncos did not look particularly impressive at home versus Baltimore on Sunday, and they have to travel for a road game in a hostile environment at Kansas City just four days later. The Chiefs offense was impressive in the pre-season, and that carried over into an impressive display in a 27-20 win over Houston in Week 1. I like the home team here on Thursday night football.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Peyton Manning - The aging quarterback appears to be on his last legs, coming off a disappointing 2014 season, and a lackluster pre-season. He threw for just 175 yards and an INT on 24-of-40 passing in the win over the Ravens.
2. Denver's Running Game - The Broncos averaged just 2.8 yards per carry in Week 1, running for a total of 69 yards and no TDs. C.J. Anderson injured his foot, and his status for Thursday's game is questionable.
3. X-Factor - Alex Smith threw for 243 yards and three TDs on 22-of-33 passing in the win over Houston.
Selection: This is a play on the Kansas City Chiefs (8*)
