The 0-2 Lions will host the 2-0 Denver Broncos in Detroit on Sunday, and I like the home team to get it's first win here. The Broncos have had some bounces go their way in the first two weeks, but I'm still not convinced that Peyton Manning is going to hold up at the age of 39. He was able to find some magic last week, but their were moments when it looked like he was well past his prime.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Home Cookin' - The Lions were 7-1 at home last season, and the one loss came by a score of 17-14 versus Buffalo. The Broncos have really struggled on artificial turf, failing to cover in seven of their last eight.
2. C.J. Anderson - He's averaging just 2.3 yards per carry so far, with 10 carries for either no gain or a loss of yards. The drop off in production is likely a result of poor play from Denver's revamped offensive line.
3. X-Factor - Manning has been sacked seven times in two games, and all those hits seem to be taking their toll on the aging quarterback.
Selection: This is a play on the Detroit Lions (7*)
