The Los Angeles Lakers have started the season with back-to-back defeats to Minnesota and Sacramento. They'll host the Dallas Mavericks home at Staples Center Sunday night, and I think the fans better prepare for yet another defeat.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. The Lakers Struggles From Beyond The Arc - Los Angeles has made only 29% of its three-point attempts this season with Kobe Bryant going a lowly 4-for-21 from behind the arc. Dallas has held opponents to a 25.5% average over its first two games so the Lakers' struggles are likely to continue here.

2. Situational - The Lakers are off a 132-114 blowout loss at Sacramento Friday and are just 2-9-1 ATS in their last 12 games playing on one days rest. They've covered the spread in only five of the last 17 home games versus Dallas.

3. X-Factor - The Mavericks have won seven straight meetings versus the Lakers.
