*6* BLOWOUT SPECIAL on Tampa Bay Lightning.
The Tampa Bay Lightning have really struggled of late with just one win in their last six games. The Buffalo Sabres meanwhile have heated up with three wins in their last four, but I like the price we get on Tampa Bay in tonight's match-up at First Niagara Center.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Previous Meetings - The Sabres are off back-to-back wins against the Flyers and Islanders with just one goal conceded in each of the games. At first glance you might like their chances of excelling in the defensive zone in this game as well, especially considering the Lightning's recent offensive woes (seven goals last six games). History would tell us otherwise though; Tampa Bay has won six straight in the series by a combined score of 21-4 and its won both meetings this season, 4-1 and 2-1.
2. Road Warriors - The Lightning have won four of the last five meetings at Buffalo and they're 6-2 in their last eight when visiting a team with a losing home record. Buffalo is 3-4-0 at home this season.
3. X-Factor - Buffalo defeated the Islanders 3-1 at Barclays Center Sunday, but its 1-4 in its last five games playing on three or more days of rest.
Selection: This is a play on the Tampa Bay Lightning (6*)
