*8* MASSACRE Chicago Blackhawks.
The Chicago Blackhawks failed to hold on to a 5-2 lead against the St. Louis Blues Wednesday as they went on to lose the game 6-5 in overtime. They've lost three of their last four and must be eager to get back to their winning ways when visiting the New Jersey Devils Friday.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Shooting Advantage - Chicago has the second best shots on goal at 32.1 per game while New Jersey is second last at just 25.6 shots per game. That's a massive disadvantage for New Jersey who will struggle with efficiency facing Corey Crawford who is 1-0-1 with a 0.96 GAA and .958 save percentage against the Devils. Cory Schneider meanwhile is 1-2-0 with a 2.68 GAA against the Blackhawks.
2. Situational - The Blackhawks have won 21 of their last 26 after conceding five goals or more in their previous game and they're 6-1 in their last seven playing on one days rest. The Devils lost 2-1 to the Islanders at Barclays Center Tuesday and are 0-5 in their last five games playing on two days rest.
3. X-Factor - Patrick Kane is riding an eight-game point streak and he's totaled seven points in his last five games at New Jersey.
Selection: This is a play on the Chicago Blackhawks (8*)
