*10* SURE SHOT on LA Clippers.
The Houston Rockets defeated the Sacramento Kings 116-110 last night to make it three consecutive wins after losing three straight to start the season. The Los Angeles Clippers meanwhile suffered their first defeat of the season when they lost 112-108 at Golden State Wednesday, but I think the Clippers will get back on track with a big win tonight.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Houston's Injuries - The Rockets will have to do without forwards Terrence Jones (lacerated eyelid), Donatas Motiejunas (back surgery) and guard Patrick Beverley (concussion) tonight. Tough misses, particularly as they're playing on back-to-back nights and they should struggle to keep up with the Clippers who just might have the best bench in the league and are playing on more rest.
2. Situational - The Clippers have covered the spread in five of the last seven meetings with the Rockets and they're 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games playing on two days rest.
3. X-Factor - James Harden had 43 points last night but was required to log heavy minutes in the win. It's a tough ask for him to keep that pace here at the back-end of a back-to-back.
Selection: This is a play on the Los Angeles Clippers (10*)
