The Buffalo Sabres are 5-2-1 in their last eight overall, and they are a big underdog on the road at St. Louis tonight. The Blues have lost three of their last four, and have been involved in a lot of close games. My money is on the visitors on the puckline.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Goaltending - Chad Johnson has really been solid in his last two starts for the Sabres, stopping 60-of-63 shots. He picked up a win over Tampa Bay, and an overtime loss against San Jose.

2. Evander Kane - The former 30-goal scorer is expected to return to the lineup for the Sabres tonight. "I think you'll probably have a good chance of seeing me in the lineup," said Kane. "Things went well as I expected and like I said, I thought I had a chance to play on the trip and it looks like that's going to be the case."

3. X-Factor - Four of the Blues last six wins have come by a margin of just one goal.
