The Los Angeles Kings and the Chicago Blackhawks are known for having some of the top defenses in the NHL, but there are several factors that make me believe we'll see a high-scoring game when they clash at Staples Center tonight.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Special Teams - Chicago has gone 4-for-14 on the man advantage over its last five games while the Kings have conceded five shorthanded goals over their last five games.

2. Goaltending - The Blackhawks have confirmed that Corey Crawford will get the night off after tending the net at Anaheim last night and we'll see Scott Darling between the pipes instead. Darling has a 3.36 GAA behind a .885 SV% over four appearances away from home this season, but he might fancy his chances of leading the team to a win anyway as the Kings Jonathan Quick has a 2.90 GAA in previous meetings with the Blackhawks.

3. X-Factor - The over is 9-1-2 in the last 12 meetings.
