*10* MASSACRE on Green Bay Packers.
The Green Bay Packers were shocked at home by the Chicago Bears on Thanksgiving Day, and they have now lost four of their last five overall. They will be in Detroit taking on the Lions on Thursday Night Football, and this is a revenge spot for the Packers, who lost two Detroit at home three weeks ago.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Line Value - This line has been bet down to just three points after opening at -5.5. Just a few weeks ago you would have expected the Packers to be a double-digit favorite in this spot. Things have since changed, but I believe the bookmakers have overcompensated. The Lions coach seems to agree: "What I see is, without question, one of the top quarterbacks that ever played the game," said Caldwell "This is as dangerous a team that you'll ever face."
2. Situational/Motivational - In addition to being fueled by revenge, the Packers know that their season hangs in the balance. This is a game they can not afford to lose if they want to catch the Vikings in the NFC North. The Lions have salvaged a little respect by stringing together a few wins against some poor teams, and they already upset the Packers once. It could be a little tough for Detroit to bring the same intensity here tonight.
3. X-Factor - The Packers are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 road games.
Selection: This is a play on the Green Bay Packers (10*)
