*10* Total MASSACRE on UNDER Lakers/Grizzlies.
The Los Angeles Lakers are coming off yet another disappointing offensive display when they lost 94-84 to their local-rivals the Clippers Friday. They'll face another sturdy defense Sunday night as they visit the Memphis Grizzlies, and this has all the signs of a low-scoring contest.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Struggling Offenses - The Lakers have lost four of their last five with the lone win a 111-107 outing at Denver on Dec. 22. They've failed to top 87 points in any of the other four games though, and Memphis is among the lowest scoring teams in the league at just 95.9 points per game.
2. Trends - The Under is 35-16 in Memphis' last 51 games in front of the home-town crowd and it's coming straight off a 98-92 defeat at Charlotte last night. Five of its last six at the back-end of a back-to-back situation have gone under the total.
3. X-Factor - Kobe Bryant has averaged 21.8 points over his last six games but struggled against the Clippers with 12 points over 26 minutes. "Tonight, my bones just couldn't get loose ... I was hurting all night ..." Bryant said after the defeat.
Selection: This is a play on LAL@MEM to go UNDER the total (10*)
