*8* SURE SHOT on LA Kings.
The Detroit Red Wings have opened a six-game road-swing in an impressive fashion and are going for a fifth consecutive win when they visit the Los Angeles Kings Monday night. The home-team will be looking to bounce back from a 2-1 shootout loss to the Blues, and I like the Kings in tonight's match-up.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Situational - The Red Wings won 2-1 at Anaheim last night and might struggle with fatigue here in the back-end of a back-to-back. They'll be in for a tough contest at Staples Center where the Kings have won eight of their last 10.
2. Jonathan Quick - The Kings' netminder earned a 1-0 win in his latest meeting with Detroit in February last year and he's 6-0-1 in his last seven starts overall while allowing just one goal in each of his last four outings. Detroit will counter with Jimmy Howard who is 0-1-3 with a 3.77 GAA in his last five starts.
3. X-Factor - The home team is 10-1 in the last 11 head-to-head meetings.
Selection: This is a play on the Los Angeles Kings (8*)
