*8* SURE SHOT on Nashville Predators.
Two struggling teams will face off at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville Saturday night when the Predators host the Minnesota Wild. The Preds are coming into this game in search of their first win in six attempts while the Wild have just two wins over their last eight. The Preds are quite strong home at Nashville though, and I'm backing the home team in this contest.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Situational - The Wild were shut out in a 1-0 loss against the Jets last night and they've scored only three goals over their last three games. Odds are they'll struggle tonight as well losing six of their last eight when playing on back-to-back nights and they're 1-4 in their last five after scoring two goals or fewer in their previous game.
2. The Preds Back Home - The Predators are back home at Nashville after an unsuccessful nine day road-trip with tricky stops at Colorado, Arizona, Chicago and Winnipeg. They're however 27-13 in their last 40 home games following a road trip of seven or more days.
3. X-Factor - Nashville's Pekka Rinne owns a 2.10 GAA home at Bridgestone Arena this season.
Selection: This is a play on the Nashville Predators (8*)
