*10* Coach's Clinic on New Orleans Pelicans.
The Detroit Pistons defeated the Rockets 123-114 at Houston last night. They're traveling to New Orleans to tip off against the Pelicans here the next day, and I like the home-team in this match-up.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Anthony Davis - The Pelicans have won three of four since their superstar has come back from a bruised back. He has averaged 25.5 points in that span and scored 35 points with seven boards in Tuesday's 114-99 win against the Timberwolves.
2. Free Throws - Detroit has the worst free throw percentage in the league with just 65.0% and Andre Drummond set an NBA record by missing 23 shots from the stripe on a franchise-record 36 attempts last night. New Orleans is second in the league in free throw percentage at 79.6% and this could be a massive advantage if the teams are close in the dying minutes of the contest.
3. X-Factor - The Pelicans won both of last season's meetings and they're 4-1 ATS in the last five when hosting the Pistons.
Selection: This is a play on the New Orleans Pelicans (10*)
