This is a *10* NBA SURE SHOT on the Chicago Bulls.
The Cleveland Cavaliers responded well to Monday's 132-98 loss to the Warriors as they're coming off back-to-back dominant wins against the Nets and the Clippers. That was not enough to save David Blatt's job though as he got the can last night. The preparations for this game could be better from the Cavs point of view, and don't be surprised if the Bulls can threaten to win this one outright.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Unrealistic Expectations - David Blatt got fired despite the team holding a 3-game lead over Toronto atop the Eastern Conference. Associate coach Tyronn Lue will take over, and the pressure will be immense. If Blatt's .732 winning percentage wasn't enough, what can he bring to the table to top that? The risk is he'll be trying to fix something that was not broken in the first place, and either way it will most likely take a couple of games before the team will start to respond to his ideas.
2. Previous Meetings - The Bulls almost upset the Cavs in the season premiere losing 97-95 home at Chicago and the underdog has covered four straight meetings in the series. The Bulls are 9-3 ATS in the last 12 visits to Quicken Loans Arena.
3. X-Factor - Derrick Rose had 27 points in Friday's 110-101 defeat at Boston and he's averaging 25.3 in his past three games.
Selection: This is a play on the Chicago Bulls (10*)
