*8* play on Anaheim Ducks.
The Anaheim Ducks are 7-1-0 in their last eight games as they've come alive after an extremely poor start to the season. They're now well in contention for a spot in the post-season, something the Columbus Blue Jackets can only dream of sitting on one of the worst records in the East. I think we're getting a more than reasonable price on the Mighty Ducks at Nationwide Arena tonight.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Road Warriors - The Ducks are just 10-11-2 on the road for the season but they've won four of their last five away from home with meriting wins at Boston, Detroit and Los Angeles. The Blue Jackets meanwhile have lost two of their last seven in front of the home town crowd.
2. Corey Perry - The Anaheim forward has 10 points in his last eight games and assisted two of the goals in Tuesday's 4-1 win at Philadelphia. He had three assists in the Ducks' 4-2 home win over the Blue Jackets on Nov. 6 in the only previous meeting this season.
3. X-Factor - The Ducks lead the NHL in penalty killing at 89.0% after fending off 6-of-7 Philadelphia power plays Tuesday while the Blue Jackets own the NHL's third-worst power play at home at 16.0%.
Selection: This is a play on the Anaheim Ducks (8*)
