*8* play on Utah Jazz.
The Portland Trail Blazers are coming off a huge win over the defending champion Golden State Warriors, and that sets them up for a let down here against the Jazz tonight. Utah is coming in as winners of eight of their last 10. We should see quite a battle between two teams fighting for the final playoff spot in the West. I'll take the points.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Previous History - The Jazz have done quite well in previous trips to Rip City, covering the spread in nine of their last 13 visits to Portland. Utah has also covered the spread in four of it's last five versus teams with a winning record.
2. Let Down - The Blazers shot 53.6 percent from the field while beating the Warriors 137-105, Damian Lillard scored a career high 51 points on 18-of-28 shooting. They can't count on equaling that performance here tonight. They've failed to cover in nine of their last 12 when scoring 125 points or more in their previous game.
3. X-Factor - The Jazz rank second overall in the NBA with an opponent's scoring average of 96.5 points per game.
Selection: This is a play on the Utah Jazz (8*)
