At 12:00pm ET, my Early Riser is on College of Charleston. Southern Illinois has a new coach in Scott Nagy. That was probably a good hire for the Salukis given Nagy's previous track record of success. But they will have to wait for the first win of the Nagy era. The Salukis only return 3 players from last year and none of them were starters. Its a similar story for Charleston. The Cougars have a 1st year coach (Chris Mack) and a lot of new faces. They bring back only 1 starter. He's a good one to bring back though. Ante Brzovic, a 6-10 senior, was a first team All-CAA selection last season and is one of the top players in the Colonial Athletic Association. My feeling is that Mack is stepping into a better situation than Nagy and that the Cougars are going to start their season with a victory.
