The Boston Bruins looked good on Saturday as they defeated the Maple Leafs 4-1 in Toronto. The visiting Minnesota Wild are coming off a 5-4 loss in New York against the Rangers, and I expect them to struggle on the road here as well.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. The Wild's Power Play - The Wild along with Buffalo are the only teams not to score a single power play goal yet this season, failing on all 24 opportunities they've had. Not too surprising as they were in the bottom half of the league regarding that category last season as well. Last night's loss was particularly disturbing, as they had two 5 minute power-plays that failed to convert.
2. Road Woes - The visitors have dropped three consecutive games away from home and six of their last seven on the road. They were not particularly good on the road last season either, breaking even at .500 going 17-17-7.
3. X-factor - Tukka Rask made 32 saves in the 4-1 win against Toronto three days ago. He is 2-1-1 with a 1.68 GAA against Minnesota.
