The St. Louis Blues are riding a four game winning streak and are coming into this contest thirsty for revenge. The New York Rangers defeated the Blues 3-2 when the two teams opened their season in St. Louis on Oct 9, but I'm looking for a reversed result tonight.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Injuries - Ryan McDonagh and Kevin Klein joined Dan Boyle to the Rangers list of injured defenders in Saturday's 1-0 shootout loss against the Jets. They played almost the whole game with four defenders and John Moore will also miss this game still serving a five-game suspension
2. Goaltending match-up - Brian Elliott has been solid for the Blues going 4-2-1 with a 1.96 GAA. It would have been an interesting match-up to see him against Henrik Lundqvist, but that will not be the case. The Swede will be rested after making eight consecutive starts, and the home team will turn to Cam Talbot instead. Talbot will make his second start after stopping 19 shots while conceding four in a 5-2 loss against Columbus last month.
3. X-factor - Rick Nash is second in the league with his nine goals, but has only scored once over his last three games.
Selection: This is a play on the St. Louis Blues (10*)
