T.M. Selection: Buffalo Sabres.

I like the Buffalo Sabres to win against the Columbus Blue Jackets in this game on Monday. The Sabres have been looking a lot better in their games lately, they just lost their most recent game but they had won 2 in a row before that. They have been playing well in their losses too though and even when they do lose the games have been really close lately. The 3 most recent losses for the Sabres all came by 1 goal and their 2 most recent losses had to go past regulation for the game to be decided. They have also been keeping their games low scoring with some good defense and I think they are going to continue that here and use their defense to win this game. The Blue Jackets have looked terrible lately but that has been a common theme for them all year as they have just been having a bad year. They have lost 2 games in a row and only have 1 win in their previous 5 games. They have been so bad that they only have 2 wins in their L10 too. Even their most recent win came at home to the new Kraken who are not having a good year at all and they had beat them in OT to get that win. The Jackets have looked really bad on defense in their games and have been giving up a lot of goals too. They have given up 4+ goals in 3 games in a row and in 5 of their previous 6 games. I think that the Jackets are going to struggle to score here on the great defense that the Sabres have been playing lately. I also think that the Sabres will have no issues putting pucks in the net on this bad Jackets defense. I like the Sabres to win this game here at home.
