I like the St. Louis Cardinals to win this game against the Kansas City Royals on Wednesday. The Cardinals just won their most recent game over the Royals and they are going to be looking for the 2 game sweep of them here. The Cardinals have looked good with their hitting this year and they have been putting up some good runs in their games while their pitching has also been keeping them in a lot of games too. They are going to be facing Zack Greinke (0-0, 1.59 ERA) for the Royals in this game and I think they are going to be able to get some hits and bring in some runs on him here. Greinke looked good in his 1st start this year giving up just 1 run through 5 innings but he also gave up 5 hits in that game and I think the Cardinals will take advantage if they get guys on base in scoring position. The Cardinals are really good at playing small ball and they aren't always trying for the big home run. I think they are going to get hits on Greinke here putting them in scoring position and I expect their hitters to capitalize on those opportunities here. Adam Wainwright (1-0, 0.00 ERA) is going to be going for the Cardinals in this game and he is probably their best and most reliable starting pitcher on the roster that gives them the best chance to win games when he starts. He already has 1 win under his belt this year and he gave up no runs through 6 innings in that game. He also gave up 5 hits in that game but I think he is better than Greinke at getting himself out of trouble when there are guys on bases and I expect him to take complete control of this game through his pitching. The Cardinals also have the better bullpen to back him up here and I think they are going to win this game. I like the Cardinals to win here.
