T.M. Selection: New York Yankees -1.5.

I like the New York Yankees runline against the Los Angeles Angels in this game on Wednesday. The Yankees just bounced back in their most recent game with a big 9-1 win over the Angels in their 1st game of this series and I think they are going to repeat that result in their ballpark here. The Yankees have been on a roll lately, they do lose a game here and there but but they have looked great all year and I think they are going to continue playing like this until they start to slow down, which they have shown no signs of doing so lately. The Angels have looked terrible lately and they have been in such a big slump, losing 6 games in a row now and I think that losing streak continues here. Nestor Cortes (4-1, 1.70 ERA) is up for the Yankees here and he has looked great all year. He has only had 1 start this year where he gave up 3 runs and all of his other starts he has allowed less than that. He has not only been pitching well lately, but he has been pitching deep into his starts too, with 3/4 of his previous 4 starts seeing him pitch past the 8th inning. Reid Detmers (2-2, 4.65 ERA) is up for the Angels here and he hasn't looked great in his starts lately. He just gave up 5 runs in his most recent start and he has looked shaky in his previous 4 starts, giving up 3+ runs in 3/4 of those starts. I think this is going to be another dominant pitching effort by Cortes here and I expect the Yankees, who have been the hotter team both lately and all year, to continue on their roll here while the Angels continue to slump. I like the Yankees runline in this game.
