2) Pittsburgh is 31-45 against teams with a winning record this season. The overall aspect of this pitching match-up has me firmly on the Padres at home. The Pirates Luis Ortiz has been shaky over his last 3 starts and charged with 13 earned runs in 16.1 innings.

3) San Diego starter is slated to be Michael King in this one. King has allowed only 9 earned runs in 35.2 innings in his last 6 starts. I like having a strong starting pitcher, solid bullpen edge, and overall better team and I grab the value by usage of the run line in this one. -1.5 runs with the Padres it is!
