Reasoning: Portland came from behind to beat the Jazz 113-104 in its home opener on Tuesday night, but now faces a very hungry LA team that's out for a little revenge. Suffice it to say, we think the table is set for a lower-scoring UNDER this evening. Portland knocked the Clippers off in the first round of the playoffs last year, with injuries to stars Blake Griffin and Chris Paul a major reason for LA's eventual series loss. Portland will be looking for a much better defensive performance tonight after allowing the Jazz to post 37 points in the third quarter: "Sometimes we get into an offensive mode, because we have so many guys who can score," Blazers' reserve forward Ed Davis assessed afterwards. "We can outscore 85 percent of the teams in the league. To be able to win night in and night out, though, you have to get stops. That's what we did in the fourth. We've got to have more quarters like the fourth and less like the third. You give up 37 in a quarter, no way you can win a game. Giving up 30 in a quarter is a lot." We're expecting a hard-fought battle and for this total to sneak UNDER the posted number once the final horn blares.
