This is a 10* TOTAL BIG TIGER on the UNDER between the Utah Jazz and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
We don't subscribe to any single handicapping methodology, but instead feel that being flexible with ones approach is the best way to secure profits over the longterm. This particular play is based primarily on strong/relevant O/U ATS statistics and common sense:
As note that Utah has seen the total go UNDER the number in interestingly 33 of its last 55 against poor defensive teams that allow 106-plus points per contest, while Cleveland has seen the total go UNDER the number in five of six already this year following a non-conference game and in seven of 11 after three or more consecutive SU victories.
The bottom line: After playing to four consecutive UNDERS, Cleveland has seen the total go OVER in two straight, most recently a 121-112 victory over the Lakers. With a game tomorrow night in Washignton, followed by a tough matchup in Milwaukee on Tuesday, we think the home side comes out a bit flat here as it gets caught looking ahead. Utah on the other hand has seen the total go OVER the number in four straight and just broke a four-game slide with a big 107-95 win at Boston just last night. With tough road games upcoming against conference rivals Houston and Oklahoma City up next, we think that the Jazz have a predictable letdown here as well. All signs do indeed point to the UNDER as the savvy move in this contest.
