This is an 8* TOTAL ASSASSIN on the UNDER between the Toronto Blue Jays and the Chicago White Sox.
Chicago annihilated the Blue Jays 11-5 yesterday; suffice it to say, I expect a much tighter and ultimately lower-scoring contest tonight. Mark Buehrle (11-8, 3.31 ERA) will look to help his team avoid a five-game slide and continue his recent dominance of his former team; Buehrle hasn't been at his best since the All Star break but has a big opportunity to get untracked as he's 1-1 with a very respectable 2.51 ERA vs. the White Sox while with Toronto. The visitors counter with John Danks (9-8, 4.96 ERA) who has also had an up and down year; most recently the southpaw gave up four runs over 6 1/3's innings in a 4-2 loss at Seattle on Sunday. Both teams come in slumping at the plate of late, I believe these very competent staters battle into the latter frames and look for this total to sneak UNDER the posted number.
