This is an 8* play on the UNDER between the Dallas Mavericks and the San Antonio Spurs.
The defending champs square off against an optimistic Mavericks team and when the smoke clears at the end of this one, I look for this total to stay below the posted number. The Spurs wills start the season without Kawhi Leanord in the line-up; this is significant in my opinion. The Mavs were able to push San Antonio to a Game 7 in the first round of the playoffs last year and come in with revenge on their minds. Leonard is suffering from an eye injury. Note that San Antonio was just 2-5 in the preseason. Dallas made a bunch of moves in the offseason including bringing in big man Tyson Chandler for his second stint with the team. Dallas also brought in Chandler Parsons and Jameer Nelson after Vince Carter and Shawn Marion left. It's interesting to note that the Mavs have dropped 13 of their last 15 regular season meetings with San Antonio, including nine straight. I think both teams come out and concentrate on the defensive end of the floor in the opener, in my opinion all signs point to the UNDER as the savvy move in this one.
