This is a 10* O/U INTERCONTINENTAL EXPRESS on the OVER between the Calgary Flames and the Buffalo Sabres.
For a number of different reasons I believe this total will eclipse the posted number. The visiting side comes in super hungry, the Flames are coming off back-to-back regulation losses for the first time this year. Calgary though will have its hands full with a Sabres team which is looking to win for a sixth time in seven games at First Niagara Center; of course, that was on the heels of starting the year 1-6-2 in front of the home town crowd. Both sides' goaltenders have been hot, but note that Calgary has in fact seen the total sail above the number in six of 11 vs. teams with losing records this year and in three of five after losing by 2 goals or more. And note that Buffalo has seen it go OVER the number in six of 11 vs. teams with winning records this season. In my opinion, all signs do indeed point to the OVER as the savvy move here.
