This is a 10* ASSASSIN on the OVER between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Golden State Warriors.
For a number of different reasons I look for this total to eclipse the posted number as the game comes down the stretch. A couple of the league's best go head to head on Thursday night and in my opinion all signs are pointing to a classic shoot-out! The Warriors look to rebound after finally coming up short for the first time in five weeks and face another tough task in Kevin Durant and the rolling Oklahoma City Thunder. The Warriors will be looking to bounce back after their 105-98 setback at Memphis on Tuesday: "We understand it was a nice run and something the franchise has never done before," star Stephen Curry said afterwards. "It's put us in a good position to take a tough loss like we did tonight and keep moving. We'll be all right. It was fun while it lasted." The last time these teams played, Golden State would win 91-86 back on November 23rd, but both Durant and Russell Westbrook were out with injuries for the Thunder. OKC definitely has something to prove as it looks to make up precious ground after its two super stars missed the start of the season; note that the Thunder are coming off a 104-92 win over the Kings on Tuesday, their fourth straight road victory. Durant has to be liking his chances for another big game, he's averaging 30.8 PPG vs. Golden State for his second-highest mark against any opponent. But the Warriors have won six straight and eight of their last nine in front of the home town crowd. When you think of these two clubs, what's the first thing that comes to mind? For me, it's unbelievably talented offensive players. So, it's a bit of a surprise to learn that neither of these teams (including their game against each other earlier in the season), has played to many high-scoring affairs of late. I think that changes tonight though (note that OKC has seen the total go OVER the number in 14 of its last 25 in revenging a home loss vs. an opponent). We can expect a faster paced game and a "quicker" game means more shots and more shots almost always leads to more points. In my opinion, all signs do indeed point to the OVER as the sharp move in this one.
