I think the visitors offer pretty good value in this spot. One major reason I think Calgary comes in focused here is that it hasn't played since a 1-0 win over Vancouver on Saturday, that victory snapped a three-game slide. Calgary was able to go home for a couple days, rest up and get in some good practice time, a luxury at this time of year: "It's a time to get some mental and physical rest, but at the same time, we can't be complacent," Flames' coach Bob Hartley assessed earlier in the week. "Over the past two or three weeks, we've hit a speed bump," Hartley continued. "It comes in waves and that's what we're facing. I've talked to many coaches over the past weeks like I always do, about my power play, that's where we're searching for solutions." A date vs. the hapless Coyotes is just what the doctor ordered to get untracked, Arizona has killed a Western-Conference worst 74.5 percent of its penalties and has given up eight power-play goals in 25 chances during a miserable 2-4-0 stretch. CALGARY has already won three meetings with the Coyotes this season.
