This is a 5* BIG-CHALK CHOKE-OUT on the Detroit Tigers.
As I like to say, some times a favorite is a favorite for a reason, and in this case I absolutely feel that Anibal Sanchez and the home side should be much bigger ones, making this a price I have no problem in paying. Sanchez put together a very decent 2014, he finished 8-5 with a respectable 3.43 ERA in 21 starts; note that Sanchez has been particularly effective vs. the Twins throughout his career as well, he's 2-0 with a tiny 1.84 ERA over his last five vs. them. The visitors needed a replacement for Ervin Santana so turned to Ricky Nolasco, who put together an incredibly awful 2014 campaign, finishing 6-12 with a ballooned 5.38 ERA over 27 starts. This is a major mismatch on the mound, one that I can't ignore, I'm laying the price and taking the TIGERS today.
